About Celtic Manor

There are three hotels at The Celtic Manor Resort. Guests can choose to stay in the luxurious five star Resort Hotel, the four star 19th century Manor House or the Newbridge on Usk, which is located only a stone's throw away from the Resort itself. Each hotel has its own style and atmosphere, allowing you to choose your ideal surroundings for a relaxing break.

The Resort’s luxurious five star hotel opened in 1999.  Each one of its 330 bedrooms are beautifully appointed and decorated, where distinctive design and traditional luxury create a calm and relaxing environment.

The selection of luxury suites are individually decorated with picture windows and terraces. Even more indulgent and sumptuous are the two Presidential Suites, one with a baby grand piano.

Long before the new Resort Hotel was built, the historic 19th century Manor House was recognised to be one of the finest hotels in the United Kingdom, winning the Egon Ronay award for the best hotel in Wales for five consecutive years.

The Newbridge on Usk, a five star, two AA Rosette award-winning Restaurant with Rooms is a 200-year-old inn, offers six stylish en-suite bedrooms, designed with comfort and elegance in mind with a distinctive design in each room. Only a short distance from the Resort itself, it is a perfect location to relax and unwind.

In an adjacent building guests will be greeted with a warm Welsh welcome in the stunning country inn. Combining quaint, old worldly charm with a modern twist, it occupies an idyllic rural location sitting on the banks of the beautiful River Usk, near the charming village of Tredunnock.

Dining

There are numerous dining offerings at Celtic Manor with the best being The Crown and The Newbridge on Usk.

The Crown is a three AA Rosette award-winning fine dining venue and is the product of an exciting partnership between The Celtic Manor Resort and Michelin-starred South Wales restaurant, The Crown at Whitebrook. Award-winning chef James Sommerin, who achieved the coveted accolade in 2007 and has retained it since, is the Executive Chef for both restaurants, creating separate and distinctive menus for each establishment.

As well as an à la carte menu for lunch and dinner, The Crown also offers an express one hour lunch menu for time-stretched business diners and in the evening, an exciting six course tasting menu for groups of diners wishing to share the ultimate gastronomic experience.

Ingredients are selected with great care, and attention is given to how each combination of flavours will taste on the palate. Quality is the key in sourcing produce. Meats, including venison, are brought in from selected Welsh farms and fresh seafood arrives directly from Cornwall.

Seasonality and quality of produce is key when sourcing ingredients and our menus will change throughout the year to reflect this.

Expect to see the likes of "Hand-Dived Scallop, Spiced Veal Sweetbread, Creamed Lettuce and Autumn Truffle", " Fillet of Pollock, Woodland Pork Belly, Romanesco, Trompette and Cob Nuts", and "Home-Dried Raisin Financier, Cream Cheese and Pumpkin Sorbet" on the menu.
