About Lake Vrynwy Hotel and Spa

Ideally positioned - Lake Vyrnwy Country House Hotel and Spa commands dramatic and breath-taking views over the  mountain-ringed lake which forms part of the wild and wonderful Vyrnwy estate. The ultimate hotel view, combined with a characterful and romantic presence.

The surrounding Vyrnwy estate exudes outstanding natural beauty; attracting a large diversity of wildlife including goshawks, peregrines, buzzards and red kites. Hen harriers and merlins thrive over the upspoilt moorlands and forests of this rugged yet fragile landscape.

Whether you are a hardened hill walker or a casual ambler, there are miles of walking trails to explore at Lake Vyrnwy, with unlimited possibilities depending on how adventurous you're feeling! Stunning views are your reward whatever you choose.

With 4-star comfort, style and magnificent scenery, Lake Vyrnwy Hotel and Spa is the perfect antidote to modern day life.

The history of Lake Vyrnwy is incredible and moving - ask at the bar to see the photo album of the creation of the lake!

Dining

The hotel restaurant is fronted by a conservatory, with one of the finest views from any restaurant anywhere.

The menu changes with the seasons, with emphasis on fresh and local produce. All the game produced by the Estate comes to the hotel kitchen. Fish is brought from their fishmonger in Pwlhelli, and Jones the Meat from Bala brings the very best of Welsh beef. A small flock of sheep surround the hotel and supply the kitchen with local Lake Vyrnwy lamb.

The AA has awarded our kitchen a rosette for its culinary excellence.
