The Llanwenarth Hotel dates back to the 16th Century and is located midway between the market town of Abergavenny and the charming country town Crickhowell. It is a one hour drive from the M5 and 30 minutes drive from the M4 - 3hrs from London, less than 2 hrs from Birmingham and 1hr from Cardiff.

The Hotel it situated in the Brecon Beacons National Park, one of the most beautiful locations in the country. Perched high on the east bank of the River Usk renowned for its trout and salmon fishing, the Llanwenarth commands unrivalled views across the river towards the Blorenge Mountain taking in the whole of the spectacular Usk Valley.


Dining

The Riverside Restaurant is overseen by chef/patron John West who has a longstanding reputation for producing good unpretentious fresh local produce at affordable prices.  Floor to ceiling windows offer panoramic views which add to the total dining experience in the relaxed yet convivial atmosphere of the stylish restaurant. In the summer months enjoy al fresco dining on the terrace – a large meditteranean style dining area overlooking the river and surrounding valley.

You can expect to find the likes of "Crispy fried ox tongue with a warm salad of asparagus and beans, deep fried capers and brown butter" and "Locally reared, prime haunch venison steak carved onto a parsnip hash with confit baby onion and beetroot, drizzled with a red wine and thyme sauce".

There are 17 attractive neatly proportioned en-suite bedrooms offering all the modern facilities. The majority of the rooms have their own balconies where you can take in the panoramic views and observe the abundant wildlife such as the red kite and otter.

One of the bedrooms is designed specifically for wheelchair users, being on the ground floor.
