About Pale Hall



Pale Hall is a privately owned luxurious Victorian Country House Hotel near Bala in North Wales, set amongst 16 acres of gardens on the edge of Snowdonia National Park. The hotel is open to non-residents for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

This quality hotel near Bala has been awarded the Visit Wales Gold Award, which is given to the top 2% of hotels and guest houses in Wales. The award recognises outstanding quality, exceptional comfort and unfailing hospitality.

Pale is a delightful discovery for discerning visitors - a lovingly restored Victorian country manor set in refreshingly tranquil and beautiful surroundings. Queen Victoria herself warmed to Pale's welcome during her visit in 1889 and the present owners are proud to maintain the Hall's great tradition of hospitality.

The elegance and grandeur of Pale remain unchanged, while the ameneties have been discreetly enhanced to the highest standards.


Dining

The restaurant offers fine dishes from the Table D'Hôte menu and is complemented by an extensive cellar of vintages. The style of cooking is British and French modern and classic cuisine. The restaurant is open to non-residents as well as hotel guests for breakfast, morning coffee, lunch, afternoon tea and dinner.

Expect to pay around £35 for three courses with dishes such as "Monkfish Cheeks
marinated in piri piri oil accompanied by sun dried tomato cous cous","Fillet of Local Welsh Beef
with potato rosti, onion & thyme compote and perl las sauce" and "Mixed Berry Parfait
with forest fruit compote and strawberry sherbet" on offer.

Each of the 17 guest rooms in this hotel are individually appointed, with an extraordinary selection of beds and bathing facilities, private sitting rooms and commanding views on all sides.

Our favourite is the Caernarfon Suite, with a fabulous sunked whirlpool bath overlooking the gardens.
