Sychnant Pass Country House, Conwy, North Wales
About Sychnant Pass Country House
Sychnant Pass Country House is set in three acres of landscaped gardens on the edge of the Snowdonia National Park. Framed by some of the most beautiful and dramatic scenery Wales has to offer, the privately-owned country house has the feel of a remote rural hideaway and yet is just a short drive from the main A55 making it easily accessible all year round. With 12 individual bedrooms, a fine restaurant, swimming pool and sauna, hot tubs and a gym - Sychnant Pass has all the amenities you could require. Dining The Sychnant Pass' chef Damien Stanley has already been awarded one AA rosette for his skill in the kitchen. He bakes his own soda bread on site and tries wherever possible to source local produce from local suppliers preparing a fine dining experience he describes as traditional English and Welsh with a modern twist. Each evening he prepares a different five course menu for guests and non-residents and, with prior notice, will respond imaginatively to any special dietary requirements you may bring him. Expect to see dishes like "Terrine of smoked fish set in herb jelly, finished with toast & cucumber pickle", "Trio of salmon, poached & green beans, pan seared on creamy mash and baby fish & chips", and "Homemade Welsh cakes with jam & cream" on the menu.
